Vacuum Tank for Trucks
We have manufactured vacuum tanks for trucks since 1991. It's a truck-mounted vacuum suction unit used to collect liquid and semi-solid waste in sanitation operations — the vacuum truck (also called a vacuum tank truck) that is now standard in urban and industrial cleaning services.
How a vacuum tank works
A vacuum tank is, in practice, a suction system: a pump draws air out of the tank, creating a pressure difference between the inside of the equipment and the intake hose. That pressure difference is what pulls the material — liquid, sludge or semi-solid waste — into the tank through the hose.
Before reaching the pump, the suctioned air passes through a separator (the cyclone), which retains particles and entrained liquids, protecting the vacuum pump from wear and contamination. The circuit also includes safety valves, which prevent overpressure and control the direction of airflow between vacuum and counter-vacuum.
To unload the collected material, the equipment switches to counter-vacuum mode (positive pressure) and the rear door opens — with an opening of nearly 90° — while the tank tilts, using that incline to empty by gravity.

Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between a vacuum tank and a combination tank?
A vacuum tank works with suction only. A combination unit brings vacuum and water jetting together in the same equipment, widening what it can be used for.
Which vacuum pump do you use?
We work with Battioni Pagani pumps, BLW family — an Italian benchmark in rotary lobe pumps.
How is the collected material unloaded?
By tilting: the equipment switches to counter-vacuum, the rear door opens and the tank tilts back, emptying by gravity.
